Huperzia carinata is a small to medium size plant. One of the easier lycopodium to grow. The first photos are of a form from Heatons Ferns. The lower photos are the U. Conn form of Huperzia carinata, which is typical of the forms I call "ropy."
Huperzia carinata is one of the more adaptable species. It is moderate in size, and can make an impressive specimen, without needing too much room.
Below are photos of a "ropy" form, Huperzia carinata (University of Connecticut). This form of Huperzia carinata seems to grow better mounted.
